 « Flowers We Are… » est le nouvel album particulièrement poétique de la pianiste

Ksenia Kouzmenko. Il comprend 38 « pièces florales » composées par 15 compositeurs de la Renaissance à nos jours, où la fleur symbolise non seulement la beauté éternelle, mais aussi la vulnérabilité, la fugacité du temps et la nature éphémère de la vie. 

L’album tire son nom d’une série de courtes pièces du compositeur hongrois György Kurtág, « Virág az ember… » (« Flowers We Are… ») dont nous fêtons en 2026 le 100ème  annivversaire.

La pianiste tchèque Ksenia Kouzmenko a eu le privilège de collaborer avec Kurtag à plusieurs reprises, et son univers musical lui est devenu très cher.
