Ce CD contient trois enregistrements en première mondiale des mélodies de Parry. La première d’entre elles est The Maid of Elsinore (1891), tirée d’un conte viking du Xe siècle d’un roi norvégien qui épousa Tyra de Danemark.  En 1903, le vieil ami de Parry, Sir Cavendish Boyle, alors gouverneur de Terre-Neuve, demande un air pour les paroles qu’il a écrites pour la chanson nationale de Terre-Neuve, Ode to Newfoundland.  En 1906, Parry compose The Laird of Cockpen sur des paroles de Lady Nairn, l’histoire d’un Laird du XVIIe siècle possédé par lui-même.
