L’orgue J.B. Le Picard de l’Abbaye de Vlierbeek Paul van Hooff, Currende, Erik Van Nevel

« Pour célébrer le 900e anniversaire de Vlierbeek, on m'a demandé de réaliser un CD mettant en vedette l'orgue Jean-Baptiste Le Picard datant d'environ 1737. Pour le programme du CD, j'aurais pu explorer des thèmes classiques, comme la musique baroque française sur cet orgue d'inspiration française. Cependant, j'ai trouvé plus intéressant d'explorer la musique locale. J'ai découvert et apprécié cette musique lors de mes recherches dans les bibliothèques. Mes recherches portent principalement sur le patrimoine musical des Pays-Bas méridionaux du XVIIIe siècle, et notamment sur des compositeurs tels que Matthias Vanden Gheyn, Franciscus Krafft, Dieudonné Raick et Joannes Jacobus Robson. Leurs partitions et manuscrits sont conservés dans diverses bibliothèques »
